How To Create A Cash Tip Tab In Arryved Service

What Is A Cash Tip Tab?

A cash tip tab can be created in Arryved Service as a way to include cash tips into your tip pool. The cash tips will appear on whichever report you are using to allocate tips to employees, eliminating the need to divvy out cash separately from credit card tips. This article will give you instructions on creating a cash tip tab for your tip pool.

Prerequisites

  • This method of entering cash tips is meant for locations that allocate tips from a tip pool and use one of the Arryved tip pooling reports. If your location is not using a tip pool, and is looking for a way to declare cash tips, please contact your Implementation Manager for a different solution. 

Limitations

  • This method assumes that cash tips will be included with the rest of the tips on employee paychecks. 

  • Cash tips will appear in reports after batch time, meaning the next business day after transacting.

  • If using TBLH with Timestamp By Order, this method will not work. 

  • If Cash Actions is enabled for your establishment, these instructions are not applicable.

How It Works

Tip Pooling Reports 

The cash tip tab can be used to include cash tips in the following reports: 

  • Employee Time Card

  • Payroll Report

  • End of Day Tip Tool / Summary

  • Tips By Labor Hours report (TBLH)

If using TBLH, this method will need to be completed before the end of each shift in a single day. For this reason, the cash tip tab is best suited for locations that have fewer tips pools in a single day.

For example, if you have an AM shift and a PM shift, the AM manager can enter the cash tips before the end of the first shift, and the PM manager at the end of the night, pretty simple. It becomes a bit more difficult when you have mid-shifts or more than 2 shifts in a day. 

If using TBLH with Timestamp By Order, this method will not work. 

Create A Cash Tip Tab

  1. Open Arryved Service and login.

  2. From the TAB screen, tap New.

  3. Tap No User Set at the top. 

  4. Give the tab an intuitive name (e.g. “Cash Tips 6/1/22”).

  5. Tap Done.

 

  1. Do not add any orders to this tab, tap Send (It’ll be a $0 tab). 

  2. Find the cash tip tab from the TAB screen and tap Pay.

  3. Tap Exact $ to close the tab at $0. 

  4. Tap No Receipt, then tap the hidden X from the top right of the Thank You screen.

 

  1. From the TAB screen, tap STAFF on the top navigation bar.

  2. Tap Individual CO.

  3. From the Individual CO screen, find the $0 cash tab on the list. 

    • You will only be able to find the tab if you are logged into Arryved Service  under the same number as when you created the $0 tab. 

    • If your location is using Cash Actions, the Individual CO button will not be editable, and this method is not applicable. Please refer to the Cash Actions Overview for more information. 

  4.  Tap Tip next to the tab.

  5.  Enter the value in cash tips you have.

  6. Tap Ok.

  7. Tap Exit to finish!

Now the cash tips will appear in the tip pooling report you are using to allocate tips to employees after batch time.
