We're excited to finalize your onboarding with the Arryved Fresh KDS Integration! The Installation process takes place as the last step, after the setup and configuration of your Fresh KDS account! During a KDS install, an Arryved specialist guides you through the physical installation of your hardware. Once installation is complete, your Fresh KDS is ready for use! This article provides a checklist and tips for what you can do prior, to help ensure a seamless and successful install.
You’re already working with an Arryved Specialist to set up the Fresh KDS Integration.
Before we have you rearrange your kitchen, let's make sure everything is ready for a flawless install! Please read the considerations below and take any necessary actions before installing your KDS hardware.
Do you have your Fresh Portal and Fresh KDS App login credentials handy?
Is your WiFi or Ethernet network up and running?
Do you have your WiFi password handy for the same network used on your Arryved POS devices?
Do you have your Zoom or Google Meet link ready to connect with your Arryved Specialist?
Review the Fresh KDS recommendations for Network Success and make any adjustments as necessary.
Do you have all of your KDS hardware?
Screen(s) set up with the Fresh KDS App.
Bump Bar(s), if needed.
Print Controller device.
needed if using Arryved Online, OpenTab, or Print on Bump.
KDS Controller with ethernet ports and cables.
Do you have all of the necessary hardwire cables needed? (often sold separately).
Ethernet Cables / Drops.
HDMI cables.
Remove old KDS screens or other hardware no longer needed.
Move aside any kitchen equipment that may be in the way of installation.
Keep any active kitchen printers intact.
Open and inspect all KDS hardware to ensure nothing is missing, damaged, or incorrect.
Charge your devices before the install for immediate use.
Have an Arryved Service POS device handy for testing and troubleshooting.
The installation process involves physical activity. There may be heavy lifting depending on how large your screens are and how they will be mounted. This may be a multi-person job. It’s advised to have extra staff handy for assistance. We also recommend including your Kitchen Manager during the installation so they can make any suggestions they see fit.
Every KDS install is unique, some take no time at all and some need extra time. It's highly recommended to pick a time of Install at least half a day before the start of service, or on an off day. It's also recommended not to perform an install while kitchen prep is taking place, if possible. Please let your Arryved Specialist know ahead of time if you will be running late to the install appointment or need to reschedule.
