ABM Inventory Adjustments

ABM Inventory Adjustments

What Are Inventory Adjustments?

In Arryved Brewery Management (ABM), Inventory Adjustments are logged anytime a change is made to your Inventory On Hand. You can reference your log of Inventory Adjustments for insights or make any corrections needed. You can also manually create an Adjustment, usually for unique scenarios. Use this guide to learn everything about Inventory Adjustments.

Prerequisites

  • To edit Inventory Adjustments in your ABM, you must be a User with either the Admin or Inventory User Roles. The Sales and Production User Roles grant view-only access to Inventory Adjustments.
  • Items must be added to your ABM on the Items page before they can be adjusted into your Inventory.

Limitations

  • Inventory Adjustments only log changes to On Hand Inventory. Actions that affect Committed, Expected, or Available Inventory are not considered an Inventory Adjustment.

How It Works

  1. In your ABM, click Inventory from the left-side navigation bar.
  2. Click Adjustments from the top navigation bar.

All Inventory Adjustments are logged on the table on this page.

  • Inventory Adjustments happen automatically as actions take place in your ABM that result in a change to your Inventory On Hand.
  • Click on an Adjustment to see its details or make any necessary changes.
  • A manual Inventory Adjustment can be entered for any unique reason that may come up in your business practices.

Automatic Inventory Adjustments

Here are the actions in your ABM that create an Inventory Adjustment:

  • Using or producing Inventory in a Production Batch
  • Receiving new Inventory from Purchase Orders
  • Picking Inventory for deliveries
  • Updating Inventory Counts
  • Recording an Inventory Transfer
  • Recording a manual Inventory Adjustment

Manually Adjusting Inventory

Although most of your Inventory adjusting happens behind the scenes as you perform other actions in your ABM, you may want to create a manual Adjustment to account for damaged/unsellable Items or some other unique reason. Not to worry, your ABM allows it!

  1. Click New Adjustment from the Adjustments page
  2. In the Summary field, provide some context to the reason for this adjustment.
  3. The Creator will auto-fill with your User name.
  4. Select an Adjustment Date. It should be the date this event actually occurred or is to occur.
  5. Select and Adjustment Time.
  6. Use the Add Item or Bulk Add buttons to add the Items that need to be Adjusted.

  1. Select an Item from your Item list.
  2. Update the quantity Change.
  3. Choose a Destination Location for the Item.
    • Repeat for all Items added to this Adjustment.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Add any Notes if necessary.
  6. Click Save or Save & Close in the top right corner.

Inventory Adjustments look similar to Invoices, but they don’t go through the whole sales process. They skip Routes, Picking, and Delivery Stops and go straight to the Finalized state, adjusting the inventory immediately.
