Arryved Device Lifecycle Support Policy

Arryved Device Lifecycle Support Policy

Device Lifecycle Support Policy For Arryved Service

Effective Date: September 1, 2025

1. Purpose

This policy outlines the criteria for devices supported by the Arryved Service application. Our goal is to ensure a secure, reliable, and optimal experience for all our users. Supporting devices that receive regular operating system updates is crucial for maintaining application compatibility, security, and performance.

Note that this policy only covers devices running the Arryved Service Android Application. Devices purchased to run Fresh KDS need to comply with their recommended hardware policies (https://www.fresh.technology/kds/recommended-hardware).

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

Application Functionality

  • Ensuring the Arryved Service app installs and runs correctly.

Hardware Integration Functionality

  • Ensuring supported hardware devices purchased from Arryved, such as card readers and printers, connect with supported devices and function correctly.

Bug Fixes

  • Addressing issues within our application that affect supported devices.

Troubleshooting

  • Providing technical support for issues related to the installation and operation of our POS application on supported devices.

This policy does not cover hardware failures, device damage, issues related to the core Android operating system, or other applications outside of the Arryved Service app.

3. Supported Devices

Arryved is committed to providing support and application updates for Android devices that meet the following criteria:

  • Actively Receiving Security Updates: The device must be actively receiving Android Operating System (OS) security updates from its manufacturer (e.g., Samsung). Manufacturers typically define an end-of-life date for security updates for their device models.

  • Google Play Store Access: The device must be compatible with and have access to the Google Play Store to receive application updates.

Specifically, this includes:

  • Devices Purchased from Arryved: Devices sold directly by us are supported as long as they meet the "Actively Receiving Security Updates" criterion above.

  • Customer-Sourced Devices: Arryved will make a best attempt to support devices purchased independently by customers. However, self-sourced devices are not guaranteed to be compatible or function correctly with Arryved Service.

Why are OS security updates important? Regular updates from device manufacturers patch security vulnerabilities, fix bugs, and ensure compatibility with the latest application requirements and Google Play services. Running our POS application on devices that no longer receive these updates poses security risks and may lead to compatibility issues.

4. Unsupported Devices

Devices that no longer meet the criteria outlined in Section 3 of this guide are considered unsupported. This typically occurs when the manufacturer stops providing Android OS security updates for that specific model.

Refer to this Samsung Galaxy Tab end of life list to keep track of the latest supported and unsupported devices at Arryved. If you use something other than Samsung Galaxy, find the device type you need on that same site.

For unsupported devices:

  • The Arryved Service application may continue to function, but we cannot guarantee its stability or security.

  • We will not provide maintenance for application issues specific to unsupported devices or OS versions.

  • Basic support for troubleshooting and guidance can be provided. This does not include bug fixes, updates, or guaranteed resolution for issues on unsupported platforms.

  • Future updates to our POS application may not be compatible with unsupported devices.

  • We will not develop bug fixes specifically for issues occurring only on unsupported devices.

We strongly recommend migrating to a supported device to ensure continued access to a secure and reliable POS experience.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Ensuring their device's operating system is kept up-to-date with the latest updates provided by the manufacturer.

  • Maintaining access to the Google Play Store on their device.

  • Understanding the support status of their device model based on the manufacturer's lifecycle information.

  • Planning for device replacement as their current hardware approaches its end-of-support date from the manufacturer.

6. Policy Updates

Arryved reserves the right to update this policy as needed. Significant changes will be communicated to our customers.

7. Questions

If you have questions about this policy or the support status of your specific device, please contact our support team at support@arryved.com.
