What Are QR Codes?

QR codes are handy square barcodes scannable by the camera on your smartphone. When scanned, you’ll be taken to the webpage linked to the QR. Arryved uses QR codes with OpenTab for your guests to view your menu and place an order right from their phones. If you’ve made it through the OpenTab setup process, QR codes are waiting for you in your Arryved Portal! This article gives you options for printing them. 

Arryved’s wizards have also created friendly and convenient hangable material to help educate your guests on OpenTab. Print and place the OpenTab posters and flyers around your establishment. Psst…Bathroom stalls are an opportune place for reading material!

Prerequisites

• You’ve finished the OpenTab setup process. If you aren’t set up with OpenTab yet, please read the OpenTab Overview to get started. 

Limitations

• Cyberbullies are no fun, please be aware of QR code fraud. 

• Lamination or some sort of protection is advised to reduce weathering and potential fraud. 

OpenTab QR Codes

If your QR codes are for guest self-ordering, once printed, be sure to place them in their corresponding Venues and at the table number they are associated with. 

1. Head to your Arryved Portal.

2. Click Location Settings.

3. Click OpenTab Settings.

4. Scroll down to find the Table With Valid QR Codes.

5. Above the table are three purple buttons with options for printing.

Self-Printing

If you have the means to print at home or office, you’ll use one of two buttons on the right. 

1. QR codes will download onto your computer in one single zip file. 

2. Double-click it to open a folder containing the images of your OpenTab QR code(s).

3. Print the QR codes, laminate or cover them if you’d like, and place them at their corresponding Tables and/or Venues.

2. Once in your account, click the big green plus button to start an order.

3. Click Upload a Complete Design.

4. Click Business Cards.

6. Click Standard Business Cards.

7. QR codes are one-sided, you don’t need to add anything to the front of the business card. Click Continue. 

8.  Click Upload your back and choose your first QR Code PDF file.

• You can upload up to 50 QR codes here. If you have more, you’ll create a second order. 

9. Continue to add new QR Code Card files by clicking Add a new design.

10. When finished, click continue and complete the checkout. The 20% discount applies automatically.
