OpenTab by Arryved empowers guests to place orders or view digital menus via QR codes. With a smartphone, guests can seamlessly order menu items and enjoy multiple rounds at their leisure in OpenTab.
Tabs started in Arryved Service with a card on file can be claimed by the guest if they use the same card number in OpenTab. The guest can take ownership of their tab and enjoy OpenTab’s mobile ordering without having to start a second tab. This article shows you how to claim a tab in OpenTab.
OpenTab is activated for your location.
Tab Claiming is enabled from your OpenTab Settings.
The guest has an existing tab in Arryved Service with a card on file.
The tab in Arryved Service must have a card on file, a tab can’t be claimed by its tab name alone.
The guest must use the same card in OpenTab that they left on file in Arryved Service.
If a guest declines to claim their tab in OpenTab, they’ll need to use a different card number to start a different tab through OpenTab. Arryved’s POS won’t allow the same card number on two different tabs.
Tab claiming works best when the card is swiped through a card reader in Arryved Service, but manual entry is an option.
If the card number is entered manually, the name should be entered in order of Last Name, First Name.
Tab claiming may not work if your location has the "Use ‘first name last name’ format for tabs where possible” Location Preference enabled.
Let's say a guest started a tab with a card on file in Arryved Service, by a staff member. Then, they find the rest of their party in a different section using OpenTab QR codes. They now want to join in the mobile-ordering fun, too!
First, the guest will scan an OpenTab QR code with their mobile phone camera and head to the OpenTab Welcome Screen from their web browser.
If the guest is proactive they can choose to claim their tab straight away by tapping the 'Find my tab' button.
They then need to enter a name and card number to search for a matching tab.
Any tabs with matching credentials will appear for Review.
If the guest is confident the tab belongs to them, then they can claim it by tapping 'Yes, this is my tab'.
Once claimed, the guest now owns that tab in OpenTab and can continue to place orders on it and pay out when ready.
