Creating A Gift Card Without Accepting Payment 

In the past, a new gift card’s balance would not load if payment was not collected on the tab that had the gift card. Here’s how this might happen:

1. The gift card was comped because you wanted to delight a guest. But you forgot to close out the $0 tab to exact cash (happens). Then, at batch time, the Arryved system auto-closes the $0 tab without payment.

2. A tab was closed without payment using the Tab Management Tool in Arryved Portal. 

Now, if one of the above scenarios takes place, the gift card will be created with the proper balance loaded onto it! 

Comps Can Only Have One Comp Type

You are now prevented from creating a Comp in your Arryved Portal that has more than one Comp Type (Open $, Open %, Fixed $, Fixed %). A Comp with more than one Comp Type would confuse the system when being applied to a tab in Arryved Service because the system doesn’t know which type to use.  

Now, if you attempt to save a Comp that has more than one type, you’ll receive this error message; "Please only pick one: Fixed $, Fixed %, Open %, or Open $". You then must make a correction to save the Comp successfully.
