Quick Close Overview

Quick Close Overview

What Is Quick Close?

A quick close is a one-time transaction. Your guest is placing an order or making a purchase and closing out right away. For any of your Venues, you can enable Quick Close buttons for the order screen in Arryved Service to make single transactions easier! This article shows you how to perform a quick close with or without the fancy buttons.

Prerequisites

  • To perform a quick close in Arryved Service, you must be logged in with a Labor Role that has the ORDER Permission.

  • The Quick Close buttons are not available by default. You can enable these buttons for any of your Venues through Venue Configuration in your Arryved Portal.

    • Read How To Configure Venues for a refresher on how to get there.

    • To enable the buttons, check the "Quick Close Buttons" checkbox under Venue Configuration.

Limitations

  • The Quick Close Buttons, when enabled for a Venue, replace the Hold and Seat buttons on the order screen.

  • If a payment fails during a Quick Close transaction, the order will be placed on hold. Held tabs are highlighted in red.

  • Quick Close Buttons are enabled for each Venue desired individually. Some of your Venues could have the Quick Close buttons, while others have the Hold and Seat buttons

How It Works

With Quick Close Buttons

  1. Open Arryved Service and log in.

  2. Make sure you are toggled to the TAB screen from the top navigation bar.

  3. Click New from the bottom of the screen.

  4. Add items to the order.

  5. Use either the Exact $ or Quick CC buttons to close out.

Exact $

Tap on Exact $ if the customer is paying cash. This closes the tab to exact change. If the guest needs change, you’ll have to do the math manually.

Quick CC

Tap Quick CC to use a card as payment. You’ll be prompted to swipe, tap, or insert a card (depending on the type of card reader you have).

Pro Tip! If you want the system to calculate the cash change amount, or need a different method of payment such as a gift card or manual entry, tap the Quick CC button, then tap the X in the top right corner of the card screen. This takes you to the full Payment Options screen where you can select any payment method you need.

Without Quick Close Buttons

If you’re working under a Venue that is not using the Quick Close Buttons, it’s still pretty easy to perform a single transaction!

  1. Open Arryved Service and log in.

  2. Make sure you are toggled to the TAB screen from the top navigation bar.

  3. Click New from the bottom of the screen.

  4. Add items to the order.

  5.  Tap on the box with the tab’s total in the top left corner.

  6. This takes you to the Payment Options screen. Select the method of payment you need and complete the transaction.

Closed Transactions

If you perform the quick close transaction with cash or gift card, the tab name is identified by “QuickCloseout-#” in the closed-out tabs section of Arryved Service. Oftentimes, if a credit or debit card was used, the card name will replace the tab name.
