How To Recover Offline Mode Checkpoint Files W/ Android 10 or Lower

What Are Checkpoint Files?

Checkpoint Files are your recovery files with tab information that were created during Offline Mode in Arryved Service. Typically you can sync records through the device once back online, however, sometimes even that function runs into an issue. This article provides instructions for the backup method of retrieving your Checkpoint Files with tab information when the Sync tool in Arryved Service is also having an issue.

Prerequisites

  • Actions were performed in Arryved Service during Offline Mode.

  • The device is running on Android OS 10 or lesser. If your device is using OS 11 or higher, use THIS GUIDE instead.

  • The network is back on and working properly!

  • The Sync button under Offline Mode Settings, on the same device, still isn’t working.

Limitations

  • Checkpoint Files will be available up to 30 minutes after the action was taken in Offline Mode in Arryved Service.

  • If actions in Offline Mode were taken on multiple devices, you will need to follow these instructions for each device.

  • There’s a maximum of 10 Checkpoint Files that can be stored in the app and recovered. Depending on how many actions were performed in Offline Mode, you may not be able to recover all actions (this is rare).

  • Your Checkpoint Files may not be recoverable if you did not have Storage Permissions allowed for Arryved Service in the Android Settings before entering Offline Mode. Read instructions for allowing Permissions on an Android device here.

How It Works

  1. Grab the device that was performing actions in Arryved Service during Offline Mode.

  2. From your apps list, open the "My Files" app. This could be found under the “Samsung” folder.

  3. From the left side navigation options, tap on Internal Storage (some devices say Device Storage instead).

  4. Next, tap on the folder labeled arryved

    • If no actions were performed in Offline Mode in Arryved Service, the arryved folder will not be present.

  1. Inside that folder, you will see your Checkpoint Files labeled checkpoint.data, checkpoint.data.1, etc.

  1. Long press and hold each Checkpoint Files until the options appear.

  2. Tap Share

  3. Send the Checkpoint Files to support@arryved.com

  4. An Arryved Support Specialist will reach out to you and complete the record sync for you.
