Rewards are one of the Insider Perks you Insider Members can enjoy. They are items on the menu that can be paid for in full with Loyalty Points. You choose which of your Inventory Items you’d like to give away as a Reward and set a Loyalty Cost for each. With enough Loyalty Points, Members can redeem the Rewards on your menu anytime they visit.
In your Arryved Portal, you can create Rewards by adding a Loyalty Cost to the Inventory Items you desire. If you have many Rewards items you want to create (say 75+ items) Arryved can help by completing a bulk Reward entry for you. You’ll have to let us know which items you want by filling out a Google Sheet. Follow the steps in this guide.
You’ve read the Arryved Insider Overview guide.
Your Arryved Insider program is active.
Rewards are activated in Arryved Portal for your Insider program.
You need a Gmail account to access the Google Sheet.
Manually creating Rewards in your Arryved Portal may be the easier solution. Please read How To Create Insider Rewards first. If you determine that’s not a viable option for you, you can move forward with the steps in this guide.
You must be an Arryved Portal Super Admin or an Admin with one of the following Permissions to complete the steps in this guide:

Insider Offers and Rewards can’t be redeemed on the same tab.
Pro Tip!: To allow Members to redeem both Rewards and Offers, split off the Reward items, and pay the split tab with their Loyalty Points. You can close the tab out at $0. Then, use the Offer on the original tab.
Insider Perks are adding free items and discounts to your Members’ tabs. This may cause your overall tip collection to decrease. Here are two solutions,
Custom Tip: Point out the Insider Perks given on Loyalty Member’s tab and encourage them to use the Custom tip button on the Digital Signature screen if they’d like to account for the full service given on the free or discounted items.
Set tabs to calculate tips off the pre-comp amount. Contact Arryved Support or your Implementation Manager to change this preference for you. Keep in mind that there are other scenarios where pre-comp tips may be a disadvantage.
You’ll need to fill out the Insider Reward Entry Template that lives in a Google Sheet. Arryved uses this to know which Inventory Items you want to set up as Rewards and what their Loylaty Costs will be.
Make a copy of the Template
Create Reward Groups and Loyalty Costs
Import your Inventory Item List report
Select the desired Inventory Items
Send to Arryved Support
Open the Insider Reward Entry [Template].
You need a Gmail account to access this Google Sheet.
From the top left, click File.
Click Make a copy.
Rename the copy and select a destination for it to live in your Google Drive.
Click Make a copy.
Read the brief introduction on the first tab labeled “Instructions.”
From the copy of the Google Sheet you just made, click on the second tab labeled “Reward Groups and Point Costs.” Tabs are found at the bottom of the Sheet.
The chart on the left is the Example for you to reference. It’s advised not to edit this chart. You’ll use the chart on the right labeled, Now you try! and fill out the 3 blank columns.
Reward Group
You can write anything in this column. Reward groups can be an entire Item Type such as “Draft Beer” or an even smaller group within an Item Type such as “Stouts” or “Draft Pints”.
Here’s another example, maybe you have an Item Type called “Coffee Drinks” but you want to create Rewards just for your Lattes. Write “Lattes” as a Reward Group.
Think of as many Reward Groups as you’d like. Write them under the Reward Groups column on the chart to the right.
This column is used to help you think about how many Loyalty Points you want the items in this Reward group to cost.
Remember, Insider Members accrue 1 Point per 1¢ spent. So purchasing a $5 item earns them 500 Points!
Enter either the Average or Highest (up to you) price of the items in the Reward Group.
For example, if your Draft Pints are between $5-$7. Enter either $6.00 or $7.00 in this column next to the “Draft Pints” Reward Group.
How much money do you want the Insider Member to spend before they can redeem a Reward item in that Reward Group? Rewards are redeemed for $0 in exchange for Loyalty Points.
Here’s an example: You want the Insider Member to purchase 20 Pints of draft beer before they can redeem one for free. If your average or highest price for a Pint is entered at $6, you’ll enter $120 ($6x20) in the “Dollars to Spend” column next to the Draft Pints Reward Group.
Loyalty Point Cost
You don’t need to edit this column, the Loyalty Point Cost will automatically calculate by the value you entered in the Dollars To Spend column multiplied by 100 (100 pennies).
The number of Points that populates in this column is the amount of Points an Insider Member will need to redeem an item in that Reward Group.
Next, click on the Reward Items tab at the bottom of the Google Sheet.
Head to your Arryved Portal.
From the left side navigation, click Reporting.
Click Inventory.
Click Inventory Item List.
Click Preview.
Click and drag to highlight all the fields in the report, do not highlight the column headers.
Copy the highlighted fields. Here are the various ways you can copy:
Press Command + C or Control + C on the keyboard.
Right click then click Copy.
Click File then Copy.
Go back to the Google Sheet, and make sure you’re on the third tab “Reward Items.”
Click into cell C5 (the first cell under the “Arryved ID” column)
Paste the report into cell C5.
Press Command + V or Control + V.
Right Click then click Paste.
Click File then Paste.
You now have all of your Inventory Items and their various Unit Sizes listed in this chart. Now you’ll select the specific items you want to place into a Reward Group.
Stay on this same “Reward Items” tab in the Google Sheet.
In the first column on the left labeled “Reward Group” each dropdown has a list of the Reward Groups you entered on the previous tab, in Step 2.
Select the appropriate Reward Group next to the Inventory Items you choose for that group.
The Loyalty Cost will automatically populate in the second yellow column.
For any items you don’t want to offer as a Reward, simply omit a selection in the Reward Group column.
Items in this chart that have values in their Reward Group and Loyalty Costs columns, will be set up as Rewards. Any items that are blank in those first two columns won’t be Rewards.
Once you’ve completed the above steps in this guide, double-check that everything on your Google Sheet looks good! When you’re feeling confident, go ahead and email this Google Sheet to Arryved Support. They’ll be able to input your Rewards and get you up and running in no time!
