Display Information Overview

What Is Display Information?

When creating inventory in your Arryved Portal, you can add a description and image to each item. This display information is shown in Arryved Service to help keep your staff educated on the menu items. It also appears in your Arryved Online Store and OpenTab for your guests to see. This article shows you how to add display information to an Inventory Item and where that information is seen across Arryved products. 

Prerequisites

  • If you’re creating an Inventory Item from scratch, there are other required fields to fill out before you can save the new item. Review How To Create An Inventory Item for a refresher. 

  • Please resize your display image according to the recommended size to avoid a distorted image.

  • To create or edit an Inventory Item including its display information, you must be an Arryved Portal Super Admin or an Admin with one of the following Portal Permissions;

    • INVENTORY

    • ALL ACCESS

    • FULL ADMIN

    • ARRYVED VIEW

Limitations

  • Inventory Items' Display Images added to your Arryved Portal may take 20-30 minutes to appear in your Arryved Online Store or OpenTab menus for the first time.

  • Only the Full Description is displayed in Arryved Service. 

  • The Guest Supplier Name and Guest Supplier Location fields are not in function at this time. 

  • The Short Description can’t be longer than 40 characters. 

How It Works

If you’re creating an Inventory Item from scratch, read How To Create An Inventory Item to get started. Or, to find an existing Inventory Item, follow these steps below. 

  1. Head to your Arryved Portal.

  2. From the left side navigation, click Inventory.

  3. Click Inventory Folders and pick a Folder.

  4. Find the inventory item you’re looking for, and click on it. 

  5. From the Inventory Item’s page, scroll down to Display Information and click the arrow to expand the fields.

Here you can upload an image of the Inventory Item. 

  • This image is displayed in your Arryved Online Store and OpenTab menus for your guests to see. 

  1. Full Description

This is the long description of the Inventory Item. You can be as detailed as you like and describe this item educate your staff and appetize your guests. 

  • The full description is displayed in Arryved Service when you tap on the item to view more sizes. This helps staff give this information to the guests they are serving. 


  • The full description is displayed in Arryved Online and OpenTab under the item on the menu and when the item is selected to expand more information. 


  1. Short Description 

The short description is associated with the style of the item. For example, the style of beer or wine such as an IPA or a Merlot. 

  • The short description is displayed in Arryved Online or OpenTab when the item is selected to view details. 


Guest Supplier Name / Guest Supplier Location 

  • The Guest Supplier Name and Guest Supplier Location fields are not in function at this time.
