The DynaFlex II Go is Arryved’s latest EMV card reader that offers tap, dip, swipe, and digital wallets all in one! The DynaFlex is exclusive to Arryved Pay, our end-to-end payment solution with in-house payment processing. Use this guide to learn how to transact with the DynaFlex II Go, including quick close, card-on-file-and Offline Mode.
To be eligible for a DynaFlex II Go card reader, you must be processing on Arryved Pay.
You must update Arryved Service to version 2.13 or higher on all your POS devices with a DynaFlex II Go card reader. You’ll want to keep Arryved Service up to date at all times to ensure you’re operating with the latest improvements.
Treat your DynaFlex with care. Be careful not to drop, hit, or shake the reader. If it endures too much physical damage, it may go into Tamper Mode and will need to be swapped out for a new one.
If you’ve opted out of Preauthorization with Arryved, your card reader may not be able to detect expired cards or start a tab with digital wallets.
Digital wallets will not grab the cardholder’s name when starting a tab. A Tab Name will need to be manually entered or a Table Number selected.
If the POS device is offline or in Offline Mode, it will not grab the cardholder’s name when starting a tab. Offline Mode also can’t detect expired cards.
The DynaFlex II Go doesn’t support gift cards with Track 1 data. Track 2 is supported. You won't need to worry if you’ve purchased gift cards from one of our recommended suppliers (eCard Systems or 4ics).
With the DynaFlex II Go card reader, you can start a tab with a card-on-file via card tap, card dip, and digital wallets!
Card Tap and Card Dip can grab the cardholder’s name and use it as the Tab Name.
Beware that certain banks will not send the cardholder's name through, even with a card tap and dip.
Digital Wallets will not grab the cardholder’s name for the Tab Name. A Tab Name will need to be manually entered, or you can select a Table Number to save the tab.
Offline Mode or an offline POS device will not grab the cardholder’s name either, no matter what method you used. This is because we are grabbing the name from an outside source that cannot be reached offline.
Watch this video below to see how you can start a tab with a card-on-file and successfully grab a cardholder's name.
When you see the “Partial CoF” icon in yellow, this means that the card number was successfully saved, meaning you can leave the card on file, but the cardholder’s name was not retrieved.
Tapping Send on the tab will prompt you to manually enter a Tab Name or select a Table Number. Once you do that, it will send the order and save the tab.
A quick Close transaction can be paid for via card tap, card dip, and digital wallets.
The swipe function only becomes available during payment if the dip function fails 3 times. Swipe is now used solely as a backup method.
If a card tap is not working, try dipping the chip into the reader. If that doesn’t work, let that fail 3 times so you can swipe.
