What Are Discount Codes?

Guests can use Discount Codes to receive a dollar amount or percent off their Arryved Online order. You can create unique Discount Codes in your Arryved Portal, and send them to your Insider Members or regular guests as you see fit. Online shoppers will enter the code during checkout. This guide shows you how to create Discount Codes, and where they’re redeemed in your Arryved Online Store. 

Prerequisites

• You must have Arryved Insider activated to use Discount Codes. Read the Arryved Insider Overview guide for more information about it, then reach out to Arryved Support to set it up.

• You can activate Insider solely for the use of Discount Codes if needed.

• The 'Discount Codes' Location Preference must be enabled by an Arryved Portal Super Admin.

• To create a Discount Code, you must be an Arryved Portal Super Admin or an Admin with one of the following Permissions:

• MODIFY LOYALTY

• ALL ACCESS

• FULL ADMIN

Limitations

• Discount Codes are only redeemable for purchases through your Arryved Online Store. 

• Anyone can keep using the same Discount Code until the code has expired. 

• Discount Codes aren’t sent out to Members via email like Offers are. When you generate Discount Codes, it’s up to you how you give them out.

• Discount Codes aren’t limited to Insider Members only. You can share the code with anyone who’s shopping in your Arryved Online Store. 

• Discount Codes can be up to 14 characters long. 

How It Works

Generating Discount Codes

Discount Codes are a type of Insider Offer, you’ll create them in the same place you’d create an Offer. 

1. Head to your Arryved Portal.

2. From the left side navigation, click Arryved Insider.

3. Click Offer List. 

4. Click New Offer +. 

Top Section

An asterisk* next to the field name indicates that it’s required. 

1. State

The state field is not editable, it just shows you the state that the Offer or Discount Code is currently in. 

2. Category*

The Category field is the most important, You MUST select Online Offer to create a Discount Code.

• If you select Email Offer, you’re creating a regular Insider Offer that is emailed to your Members and redeemed in Arryved Service. 

3. Offer Type*

Choose between a dollar amount off, or a percentage off of the total online order. 

4. Percent Off*

If you chose Percent Off as the Type, this field appears. Enter the percentage value here. Don’t include the percentage sign. 

5. Short Name*

Give a shortened version of the name for this Discount Code to be visible in smaller spaces online and in Arryved reporting.

6. Name*

Enter the full name of the Discount Code here. 

7. Discount Code*

You can create a unique code of up to 14 characters. Numbers and letters are acceptable. Or, click Generate Random Code and let Arryved take the load off. This creates a 6-digit code. 

8. Preview

Glimpse to the right for a preview of your Discount Code configuration to see if it’s to your liking so far. 

Offer Limitations

1. (Max) Dollar Value of Discount*

This is the total dollar amount you’re willing to discount off the subtotal of a single online order. This is required for both Amount Off and Percent Off Discount Types.

• For Amount Off, the value you enter here is the exact discount amount.

• For Percent Off, discount amounts will vary, but never exceed the amount you enter here. 

2. Minimum Spend

This field is optional. You can enter a value here if you want the guest to spend a minimum amount before they’re eligible for the discount. 

• This is calculated off the subtotal of the online order (before tax and potential tip). 

3. Expires Morning Of*

When would you like the Discount Code to expire? Use the calendar to select a day. The code becomes inactive at 4:00 AM MT on the morning of that date. 

4. Target Total # Of Redemptions*

Enter the total amount of times you want this Discount Code to be used in total (not per guest). Enter 0 for unlimited use until it expires.

• This doesn’t prevent the same guest from using the code more than once.

• It’s possible the actual number of times the code is redeemed exceeds this number if multiple guests checkout at the same time. 

Offer Activation Time 

Use the calendar to select a date and time that the Discount Code becomes active. 

Sending Discount Codes

Discount Codes are sent to your guests or Insider Members however you see fit. You can send out emails, print flyers, create tokens, or anything else that comes to mind! 

Here’s how you can get an email list of your Insider Members or guests,

• From the Insider Members page in Arryved Portal → click Get Report. 

• To get a list of your guests who’ve opted into marketing emails through one of your Arryved POS channels, contact Arryved Support to export that list for you. 

Redeeming Discount Codes

Anyone who has an active Discount Code can use it when shopping through your Arryved Online Store, as long as they shop within the terms of the Discount Code. 

• Discount Codes are entered in the guest’s shopping cart or checkout screen from your Arryved Online Store.

• The code is not case-sensitive. 

• The discount is shown on the final checkout page.
