Most of Arryved’s POS modalities are supported through Fresh KDS, except for Ship It.
In the Fresh KDS interface, there is a 25-character limit for each item on the Order Tiles.
The 20-character limit still applies to Inventory Item Names in Arryved Portal as well as the 13-character limit for printed tickets.
The Fresh KDS screens deserve their own device, they shouldn’t be sharing with an Arryved POS device or Print Controller.
For SMS texting, international phone numbers are not accepted at this time.
Orders from Arryved Online or OpenTab may appear on KDS screens up to 1 minute after placing the order.
Fresh KDS is its own entity. Arryved is lucky enough to partner with the best Kitchen Display System on the market! As an Arryved Merchant, you’ll need your own subscription billed by Fresh KDS.

There are two Fresh KDS products you’ll be working with:
Fresh KDS has a Portal just like us at Arryved! But, they call it Fresh Tools. You’ll use the Fresh Portal for account management, customization, reporting, and more!
Each KDS screen has the Fresh KDS App that functions as the main interface where employees see and manage orders. The App is awesome because it offers customizable settings, adjustable for each screen individually, meaning each screen can do what it wants!
When it comes to hardware, Fresh KDS has your back! They support a variety of Android and Apple products compatible with kitchen displays.
Arryved offers KDS hardware in their catalog best suited for hot and sticky kitchen environments! Ordering from Arryved comes with extra perks, such as a more hands-on experience for our Support Team.
Fresh KDS allows multi-screen setup. Screens have their own customizable settings through the Fresh KDS App. Play with the settings on each screen to meet the dynamic needs of your kitchen operations. Screens are often representative of your various stations;

Orders display in the Order Tiles on the KDS screen. Think of them as digital tickets. Any Unit Sizes or Modifiers will display with the items on the order.
Tapping anywhere on the header of the Order Tile bumps the entire order.
Tapping on an item within the Order Tile bumps just that item. You can tap on just a modifier and bump that too!
The three vertical dots expand more options for the order.
Each Order Tile has three vertical dots. Tapping on them expands a few more options:
Hold the order
Print the order
Move the Order Tile backward or forward on the screen.
Keep Arryved Service up to date on your POS devices. Order Updates are only available on the latest version of Arryved Service.

Each Fresh KDS screen chooses to receive orders from any or all of the Arryved Modalities! They just need to be toggled on or off in the Settings on the Fresh KDS App. in the App, names of the modalities changed a bit. Use the infographic below to see which ones are which.
Furthermore, items route to specific KDS screens based on the Venue they were ordered from and their Item Category (that determines if it’s a bar, kitchen, or other type of ticket). This is the same way items ordered are routed to printers.

One of the biggest benefits this awesome KDS has to offer is keeping your guests informed on order updates with automated SMS text messaging. Arryved offers SMS exclusively with the Fresh KDS Integration.
You can send an automated message letting guests know their order was received and is in the works, and another message letting them know the order is ready. You can scrap the default messages written by Fresh and create your own automated text through the App Settings.
If you decide to use the SMS feature, please note that SMS fees apply per message, billed by Fresh KDS.
