Online Store Settings Overview

Online Store Settings Overview

What Are Online Store Settings?

With Arryved Online, your guests can access your mouth-watering goods at the tip of their fingers whether they are at home, on-premise, or somewhere else! Set up shop in your Arryved Portal to tailor the look, feel, and functionality of your Online Store with the Online Store Settings. Use this guide to learn about each Setting and how to customize them

Prerequisites

  • If you’re setting up your Arryved Online Store now, begin with the Arryved Online Setup Guide and follow the steps in order. This is part of step 6 of the Setup Guide.

  • To access the Online Store Settings, you must be an Arryved Portal Super Admin or an Admin with one of the following Permissions:

    • ONLINE ORDER SETTINGS

    • ALL ACCESS

    • FULL ADMIN

Limitations

  • The ‘Optional Product Warning’ setting is not in use at this time.

  • The general Online Store Settings mentioned in this guide affect your Online Store as a whole including all of your Arryved Online Order Modalities. However, each Modality also has its own additional Settings mentioned in separate guides.

How It Works

  1. Log into your Arryved Portal.

  2. From the left side navigation, click Location Settings

  3. Click Online Store Settings.

  4. Use the guidelines below to learn about each Setting and customize them to meet your Online Store needs.

The top of the Online Store Settings page has a copy of your live Online Store link.

  • You can highlight and copy the URL that’s visible in the grey bar.

  • You can click ‘Copy Link’ to quickly copy it to your clipboard.

  • Click ‘Open in New Tab’ to be taken directly to your live Arryved Online Store!

Once your Online Store is set up and ready to go, use the live link to make your Online Store accessible to your guests. Embed the link on your website, your social media, and behind QR codes scattered around your location.

Online Venue(s)

Just below the live link is the section where you’ll add your online Venues and select your order modalities. (P.S. if you’ve been following the steps in the Arryved Online Setup Guide, you’ve already completed this step).

  1. Click the Plus Sign (+) next to ‘Venue(s)’ to add one.

  2. Select one of your online Venues from the list of Venues that populate.

  3. When the online Venue is added, check the boxes for whichever Order Modalities you want to assign to that Venue.

    • You can add multiple Venues, but each Modality checkbox can only be used once.

Online Store Times

Under the Online Store Times setting, use the table to create a schedule for your Online Store hours of operation. These are the days of the week and times of day your Arryved Online Store will accept online orders. Here’s how it works:

  • Check the box under a day of the week to allow online ordering for the full 24 hours of that day of the week.

  • Leave the box unchecked and use the START and END times to create a time frame for online ordering for that day of the week.

  • Leave the box unchecked and leave the START and END times blank if you don’t want to allow online ordering at all for that day of the week.

If guests enter your Online Store outside of the scheduled times, they’ll be able to browse the menu, but won’t be able to place an order.

  • Pro Tip! Set your END times to 30 minutes before your brick-and-mortar location closes to avoid last-second orders coming in at closing time.

Turning Your Online Store Off

*The image above shows the next 5 Settings.

Check the box next to ‘Turn Online Store Off” to quickly disable your Online Store. It’ll be disabled and ignore the schedule times until you uncheck the box again.

  • When this box is checked, guests who attempt to enter your Online Store receive a screen with your custom ‘Online Store Off Message’ and won’t be able to browse the menu or place an order.

  1. Show Store Hours In Customer UI

Check the box next to ‘Show Store Hours In Customer UI’ to display the hours your online ordering is available. Here’s where those hours are displayed:

  1. Enter your live Online Store.

  2. Choose a Modality to order through.

  3. Look for your Location Name at the top of the page and click the info button next to it (it’s the circle icon with a lowercase ‘i’ in it).

  4. A window appears showing your address, phone number, and hours of operation.

    • The phone number is pulled from your Online Store Settings.

    • The address is what’s associated with your location’s Arryved Portal from when you first onboarded. Contact Arryved Support if you need to update this address.

    • The hours of operation are pulled from your Online Store Times schedule in your Online Store Settings.

Note: If the ‘Show Store Hours In Customer UI’ box is unchecked, this pop-up box only displays the location’s phone number and address.

Collect Recipient Date Of Birth

Check the box next to ‘Collect Recipient Date of Birth’ to require guests to enter their DOB on the checkout screen when placing an online order. This is helpful if you’re selling alcoholic items in your Online Store.

Allow Pickup Only By Purchaser

This setting only affects the Pickup, Curbside, and Delivery Modalities (known as the ‘To-go Modalities’).

  • When the box next to ‘Allow Pickup Only by Purchaser’ is unchecked, the checkout screen in your Online Store includes the question ‘Are you picking up the order?’ giving the guest the ability to enter a different person’s name for receiving the order.

  • When the box is checked, that question is removed from the checkout page in your Online Store.

Display Custom Header

If you check this box, you can add a custom logo and background image that’ll display across the top of your Arryved Online Store. If you’re checking this box, scroll down and use the Custom Header Settings on the Online Store Settings page to upload and customize those images.

Online Store Off Message

Write a custom message that’ll display when the ‘Turn Online Store Off’ box is checked.

Optional Product Warning

You can ignore and skip this Optional Product Warning setting, it’s not in use at this time.

Display Inventory Images

*The image above shows the next 2 Settings.

Check the box next to ‘Display Inventory Images’ to include images of your menu items in your Arryved Online Store. Arryved Online uses the images that are uploaded on your Inventory Item pages under Display Information

Custom Accent Color

Click on the colored rectangle next to ‘Custom Accent Color’ and choose a color that represents your brand. This accent color appears when elements are highlighted in your Online Store.

Who Are You Selling To And What Are You Selling Them?

Choose one of the options from the dropdown list to determine how you’d like to handle alcohol sales online:

  • Sell to everyone, exclude alcohol for minors: When guests enter your Online Store, they’re asked if they are 21+. If they choose No, then alcoholic items are hidden from the menu to them.

  • Sell to everyone, but only non-alcoholic items: This option removes the 21+ question from your Online Store and also won’t allow any alcoholic items to be visible on any online menus.

  • Only sell to over 21: When guests enter your Online Store, they’re asked if they are 21+. If they choose No, they won’t be able to enter your Online Store at all.

Customer Support Phone Number

Enter a phone number for your location here. This phone number is displayed at the bottom of every screen in your Arryved Online Store, and also under the Info icon where your hours of operation are displayed. This makes it easy for guests to call your location if they have a question or concern about their online order.

Customer Support

Enter an email that your customers can reach out to with questions or concerns about an online order. This displays under your phone number at the bottom of your Arryved Online Store and under the info icon.

Max Number Of Items Per Order

Enter a number here to limit the total number of items a guest can add to their cart. Keep in mind that this restriction is per order. The guest isn’t restricted from placing another order after they’ve checked out.

  • To limit the quantity of a specific item that can be ordered online, use the Max Number Per Order field on the Inventory Item’s page next to its Unit Sizes.

Send Email Order Confirmations To

If you enter any email addresses here, after an online order is placed, an email confirmation is sent to those addresses. Add as many as you’d like, and separate them with a comma.

Enter a web address here and your guests will be sent to that website after they complete their online order.

  • Pro Tip! For best results, go to the website, copy the URL, and paste it here.

  • You must enter the full URL.

Custom Message For Online Store

Enter a custom message that guests will see at the top of the page as they are browsing your Online Store menu.

The image below shows where the message is visible on your Online Store:

Truncate Message To 2 Lines In Online Store

*The image above shows the next 2 Settings.

Check the box next to ‘Truncate Message To 2 Lines In Online Store’ for your ‘Custom Message For Online Store’ to only show the first two lines of text with the option to expand and collapse the additional lines of text. If there are 2 or fewer lines of text, the expand/collapse button won’t be visible.

Leave the box unchecked and the full custom message will display at all times. If the text is longer than 2 lines, it’ll push the menu items down the page to make space for the text.

Turn Additional Notes Off For All Items

Check the box next to ‘Turn Additional Notes Off For All Items’ and guests won’t be able to leave a note with the individual items they add to their cart.

If the box is unchecked, guests have the ability to leave a special note with each item they add to their cart.

When you uncheck the box, an additional textbox appears below this setting allowing you to enter a custom message. This message should provide instructions for the guest to leave a note.

  • For example: ‘If you have any allergies, dietary restrictions, or special requests, please let us know here’.

Online Payment Terms & Conditions

Explain your refund/return policy, shipping policy, or anything else. This message will appear in a popup window when the 'Payment Terms' link is clicked at the bottom of your Online Store.

The image below shows where the message is visible on your Online Store:
