What Is A Shipping Fee?
If you’re offering Ship It through your Arryved Online Store, you have the option to create a Shipping Fee to help cover the cost of shipping for your business. The fee is created as an Inventory Item and automatically applies to all online orders that come through the Ship It Order Modality. Use this guide to learn how to create a Shipping Fee in your Arryved Portal.
Prerequisites
If you haven’t already, use the Ship It Modality Setup Guide to make shipping available in your Arryved Online Store.
Limitations
If you don't see the Ship It Settings under the Online Store Settings in your Arryved Portal, and you wish to use the Ship It Modality, contact Arryved Support to activate it for you.
You can only create one Shipping Fee at one price.
The Shipping Fee applies to all the items on your Ship It menu, it can’t be applied to certain items or certain cart totals. You can create a separate online Venue for Ship It so it has its own menu separate from the other Arryved Online Order Modalities.
How It Works
New Item Type
We strongly encourage you to create a new Item Type for your Arryved Online Fees (Shipping Fee and Delivery Fee). This helps keep your reporting neat and tidy, and you’ll want a 0% Tax Type applied to it.

Create The Shipping Fee
The Shipping Fee is created as an Inventory Item,
Head to your Arryved Portal.
From the left side navigation, click Inventory.
Click Inventory Folders.
You may want to create a new folder for your Arryved Online Fees or miscellaneous items.
Click on a Folder.
Click New Item +.
Give it a Name and Short Form.
In the ID field type 'shippingfee'.
All one-word and lowercase letters. It must be written exactly that way. That’s how Arryved Online knows that this item is your Delivery Fee.
In the Item Type and Tax Type field, select the new Item Type you created for your Arryved Online Fees or choose another relevant Item Type.
Scroll down and click to expand the Costs section.
Click + Add Cost.
Select your ORDER Unit Size or something similar.
Enter a Price, this will be the price of the Shipping Fee.
Scroll to the top or bottom of the page and click Save.
Once created, this fee is applied to all orders made through the Ship It Order Modality in your Arryved Online Store.
