In Arryved Service, you can place items on hold so they’re saved to the tab but not yet sent to the kitchen/bar. Staff don’t have to remember what guests pre-maturely order, and can time courses out properly.
Furthermore, orders are placed on hold automatically when there’s a payment failure from a Quick Close transaction. This helps alert the staff member while also saving the order. Use this guide to learn how to take items off hold so you can send the order through, void it, or make a payment.
To void the items that were placed on hold, you must be logged in to Arryved Service with the ORDER ITEM VOID Labor Role Permission.
To enable the Un-hold button on the order screen in Arryved Service, you must have the ‘Quick Close Buttons’ checkbox unchecked, in Venue Configuration for any desired Venues. However, you can still hold / un-hold items without the button, it just makes it a little easier.
A tab can’t be closed out if there are items on hold.
If a Quick Close transaction has a failed payment, the order will automatically be placed on hold. You must un-hold the order before re-trying payment or voiding the order.
When items are on hold, the tab is highlighted in red and located at the top of the list on the TAB screen in Arryved Service. There is also an ‘ON HOLD’ label over the personnel icon. This is to quickly identify (and not forget) tabs on hold.
From the TAB screen in Arryved Service, find the tab that’s on hold (it’s highlighted in red).
Tap on the tab.
Tap Details.
Tap the correct ‘Select All’ button that’s located above the held items (the items are also highlighted in red).
Tap Change.
From here, there are two ways to take items off hold, keep reading to learn how.
Long press one of the items on hold until the red highlight goes away.
Repeat for the other items that are on hold on this screen.
Tap the Un-hold button one time to release the hold on all items from this order.
You’ll see the Un-hold button if this Venue’s Configuration has the ‘Quick Close Buttons’ box unchecked.
If not, you’ll see the ‘Exact $’ and ‘Quick CC’ buttons instead meaning you’ll have to un-hold items using Option 1.
Now that the items are successfully taken off hold, you can either send the order to be prepared or void (cancel) it. Once the tab is saved with no items on hold, it can then be paid out.
Void the items by deleting them from the screen with the red minus sign.
You must have the ORDER ITEM VOID Labor Role Permission to see the red minus signs.
Tap Send to fire the items that were un-held or to save the tab after items were deleted.
Tap Pay from the TAB screen when ready to make a payment. If the tab is $0.00 because all items were voided, you can close it out to exact cash.
