How To Sell Gift Cards In Arryved Service
What Are Gift Cards?
Gift cards are great for gift-giving and keeping a smile on those friendly faces that frequent your establishment! If gift cards are a must-have for your business, Arryved can help. This article shows you how to sell gift cards in Arryved Service.
Prerequisites
To sell gift cards in Arryved Service, you first need to create a gift card Inventory Item in your Arryved Portal.
Limitations
Selling gift cards through your Arryved Online store requires a different setup.
You must have a physical gift card to swipe when making a gift card sale in Arryved Service.
The BBPOS Chipper card reader can’t swipe a gift card. Use a different reader to sell gift cards if you have one.
How It Works
Just like any of your Inventory Items, the gift card item is available for sale in Arryved Service so long as it’s in an active state and on a menu.
Open Arryved Service and log in.
Select a Venue, from the top left corner that has the gift card item on its menu.
From the TAB Screen, tap New to begin a new tab or search for an active tab and tap Order to begin a new order.
Find the gift card item on the menu and add it to the order screen.
You’ll be prompted to swipe the gift card.
Once swiped, it’ll tell you if there’s a balance or not. You can reset the card back to zero if needed or, tap OK.
Next, enter the desired balance and tap OK again.
The amount entered becomes the price of the gift card and is added to the order screen.
Accept payment from the guest as usual. Once payment is collected, the card is activated and loaded with the balance purchased.
