Android 15 is the latest version of the operating system that Android devices run on. If you recently purchased a new POS device or have your POS devices set to auto-update, then they are likely running on Android 15. Due to limitations from Android 15 itself, you’ll need a separate app to help you Bluetooth pair your card reader to the POS device. Remember, you can always skip Bluetooth pairing and hardwire pair with a USB-C cable instead. If you’d rather Bluetooth pair, follow the steps in this guide.
You have a POS device running on Android 15. Here’s how to check:
1. Open your device's Settings app.
2. Tap About phone or About tablet, and then Android version.
3. Find your "Android version."
If your POS device is on Android 14 or lower, you can pair your reader the standard way. Use the setup guides instead.
IMPORTANT! The DynaFlex II Go card reader (the black one) can only be Bluetooth paired to your handheld POS devices. POS Tablets (running on any Android OS) need to be hardwired to the DynaFlex. Use the double-sided USB-C cable for instant pairing.
The tDynamo card reader (the white one) can be Bluetooth paired to either a tablet or handheld.
If you have the white card reader (the tDynamo), use the steps below to Bluetooth pair it with the MagTek Test App.
Select BLE EMVT.
Grab your tDynamo and put it in Pairing Mode.
Press and hold the pushbutton on the side of the reader for 3 seconds until you see the LEDs flash blue 3 times.
Be Careful! If you hold the button for more than 3 seconds, the reader will shut off.
The reader will then appear on the screen in the MagTek Test app. Make sure the serial number shown matches the one on the back of the reader. Tap on the device name to select it.
Tap Connect in the upper right corner.
When prompted to enter a PIN, enter ‘000000’ (6 zeros), then tap Pair.
Once paired here, you can check to see if it worked by heading to the Settings on the POS device and see if the tDynamo is paired under Bluetooth. If not, try these steps again.
Now, open Arryved Service.
Tap STAFF.
Tap Settings.
Tap the Reader button.
Select the tDynamo [serial number].
You’re all set! See if it worked with a test transaction.
If you have the black card reader (the DynaFlex II Go), use the steps below to Bluetooth pair it with the MTUSDK Omni App.
IMPORTANT! These steps will only work with your POS handheld devices. Tablets need to be hardwired to your DynaFlex with the USB-C cable that was provided to you.
From your POS device, head to the Google Play Store and search for the ‘MTUSDK Omni’ app. Tap Install.
Once installed, open the app and allow any prompted permissions.
In the lower left corner, tap Devices (wrench icon).
Grab your DynaFlex card reader and put it in Pairing Mode. Press and hold the pushbutton until you hear 4 beeps. LED #4 will start flashing once the reader is ready to be paired.
IMPORTANT! Holding the pushbutton for two beeps will power the reader off. Make sure you keep holding until you hear 4 beeps or see the 4th LED flash.
Once the reader is in pairing mode, you’ll select ‘Dynaflex II Go…’ with the matching serial number on the back of your reader.
Tap Connect.
When prompted to enter a PIN, enter ‘000000’ (6 zeros).
Tap Pair.
Wait a couple of moments for the reader to finish pairing. There won’t be a ‘loading’ indication, but you’ll know the reader has successfully paired when the buttons below become ‘active’ (the buttons under ‘refresh’ and ‘connect’ are no longer greyed out).
Once paired here, you can check to see if it worked by heading to the Settings on the POS device and see if the DynaFlex is paired under Bluetooth. If not, try these steps again.
Now, open Arryved Service.
Tap STAFF.
Tap Settings.
Tap the Reader button.
Select the DF II Go [serial number].
