This guide is for Epson TM-M30III receipt printers. If you’re configuring an older model, use the Epson Printer Setup Guide (Wireless EpsonNet) guide instead.
These instructions are for setting up your printer using an Android device. Mac and PC should work the same as long as you are using Google Chrome as the browser. Some steps in this guide may work or look a little differently.
Load paper
Printer startup
Connect to Epson Network
Update your TM Utility app
Connect printer to POS Network
Set IP Address to Manual (static)
Grab the paper roll for this printer.
While the printer is off and unplugged, open the paper chamber by pressing down on the latch to the right of the paper feed.
Load the paper.
Close the paper chamber, make sure a little piece of the roll is sticking out.
Plug the printer in and press the power button one time to turn it on.
If you’re reconfiguring this printer you’ve already had in use, first turn it off by holding the power button down for 20-30 seconds until all the lights turn off.
Then, grab a pen, paperclip, or other pointy object and insert it into the ‘SW’ pinhole while simultaneously pressing down on the power button. Hold both for 2-3 seconds until the first sheet prints out. It will say “Please wait”. Then wait for the next 2 papers to print.
Grab the sheets that printed out.
Grab one of your POS tablets.
Open the camera app and scan the QR code that printed on one of the sheets.
When prompted to connect to the device, enter 12345678 as the password.
If your tablet has connected to this printer before, you won’t need to enter the password, it will auto-connect.

Tap NEXT.
Under Network Selection, select the network you use for your POS devices.

Enter your POS Network’s password in the Passphrase field.
Tap NEXT.
On the IP Address Setting screen, select Auto (DCHP).
Tap NEXT.
Tap SET TO PRINTER.
