How To Set Up Arryved Service For The First Time

What Is Arryved Service?

Arryved Service is your main Point-Of-Sale center downloaded and installed on each of your POS devices. Employees clock in or log in to Arryved Service to place orders, manage tabs, and track their hours worked. There are many managerial tools in Arryved Service as well. This article shows you how to set up Arryved Service for the first time with Venue, card reader, printer, and cash drawer configurations.

Prerequisites

  • In your Arryved Portal, you’ve created your Venues.

  • Your Printers or KDS devices are routed in your Arryved Portal.

  • Your physical cash drawer is installed.

  • Have your Arryved POS device(s) handy with Arryved Service installed.

  • Have a card reader present for each POS device.

  • Have your login code for Arryved Service. Contact your Implementation Manager if you're unsure.

Limitations

  • To set up a Cash Drawer in Arryved Service, you must be logged in with the HARDWARE Labor Role Permission.

How It Works

Steps To Follow

  1. Venue

  2. Card Reader

  3. Printers

  4. Cash Drawers

Step 1: Venue

Your POS devices can only operate under one Venue at a time in Arryved Service. Devices are often dedicated to a certain Venue or can move freely, switching Venues as needed. This is up to you and your service flows! Here’s how to select a Venue in Arryved Service.

  1. Open Arryved Service from the Apps List on your POS device.

  2. Log in to Arryved Service with your login code.

    • A clock-in may be required first. Use the same code.

  3. You'll see your location's name in the top left corner of the screen. Tap it to expose the list of your Venues.

  4. Choose a Venue from the list. Choose the Venue this device will be operating in.

    • If you move this device to use in a different Venue, this is where you'll toggle between Venues anytime you need to.

Step 2: Card Reader

To accept card payments from your guests, you need a card reader.

  1. In Arryved Service tap STAFF from the top of the screen.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Tap Reader.

  4. Select the reader from the list that matches the serial number on the back of your reader.

Read one of the guides below for full instructions on how to pair your card reader.

Step 3: Printers / KDS devices

Your printer or KDS configuration takes place in your Arryved Portal with the printer matrix. The configuration becomes your default settings. In Arryved Service, you can override the default and select specific printers or KDS devices (a.k.a. Your Peripherals).

  1. In Arryved Service tap STAFF from the top of the screen.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Find the Printers section.

  4. Tap on one of your printer types and select a specific Peripheral.

Tap Reset To Defaults to match this device’s Arryved Service settings to the default settings that are configured in the printer matrix in your Arryved Portal.

  • Note: Anytime you make a change to the default settings in your Portal, you’ll need to tap Reset To Defaults in Arryved Service on each device for them to honor the new changes.

Step 4: Cash Drawer

If you haven’t already, use the Cash Drawer Setup Guide to install your cash drawer. Then, use these steps below to pair it in Arryved Service.

  1. In Arryved Service tap STAFF from the top of the screen.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Scroll down and Select the Cash Drawer.

  4. Select the Printer that the Cash Drawer is connected to.
