Updates to Arryved Service, your front-end POS available in the Google Play Store
You may have noticed that we’ve been giving Modifiers a makeover. The new look and feel for Modifiers in Arryved Portal, Arryved Online, and OpenTab are live!
To ensure everything runs smoothly, we’re sending Modifiers in Arryved Service through Beta Testing before launching it to everyone.
If you’re interested in being a Beta Tester for Modifiers, send a message to product@arryved.com. Here’s what’s in it for you:
Be the first to see the Modifiers makeover in Arryved Service
Work with a Product Manager to test different use cases
Provide feedback and help shape the final product
Form strong relationships with the Arryved Team
Card readers can now be Bluetooth paired right from Arryved Service instead of in Android Settings. Use the new ‘Pair BLE Devices’ button under STAFF > Settings. Tap on the device you want to pair (look for the matching serial number). Then, enter ‘000000’ as the PIN. Once paired, select the device under the ‘Reader’ button to put it in use.
For full instructions, use the card reader setup guides:
DynaFlex II Go Setup Guide → (This is the black card reader).
tDynamo Card Reader Setup Guide → (This is the white card reader).
DynaFlex II Go, now supports Tab Claiming in OpenTab. This means when a tab is started in Arryved Service using that card reader, the tab can be claimed by the guest when they scan an OpenTab QR code.
DynaFlex II Go can now detect the currency code, which solved some unexplainable transaction failures.
Strengthened card reader connection from the ‘Set Guest’ window to help decrease failed connection attempts. There is also now a visual indication when the reader is attempting to connect, fails to connect, or connects successfully.
If a card tap or dip attempt fails 3 times, you swipe the card through the reader as a failsafe method to complete the transaction.
Using the Printer Diagnostics tool on the STAFF screen would sometimes crash Arryved Service if you attempted to map or sync your Merchant Peripheral used for ‘No Print’. We’ve removed this printer type from the tool to avoid this error.
We’ve updated the disclaimer that appears when you enable Offline Mode to ensure you understand that Offline Mode cannot detect expired cards, so there is some risk of declined transactions once you go back online.
“Transactions that fail to process upon reconnection may result in declined payments. Your business assumes all liability for accepting expired cards and any unprocessed or declined transactions.”
