Printing Preferences

Printing Preferences

What Are Printing Preferences?

Location Preferences, available in your Arryved Portal, allow you to customize the Arryved Product suite, per location, to meet your business needs. The Preferences are broken into sections. The ‘Printing’ Location Preferences allow you to customize how printed tickets appear and some of the printing behavior. Use this guide to learn about each Preference in the Printing section.

Prerequisites

  • To access and edit the Location Preferences page, you must be an Arryved Portal Super Admin

Limitations

  • Location Preferences are set per location. From your Arryved Portal, you must toggle between your locations and adjust Preferences individually.

  • Some of your Location Preferences need to be enabled or disabled by Arryved personnel only. Don’t hesitate to reach out to our award-winning Support Team if you can’t find what you’re looking for in your Arryved Portal.

How It Works

  1. Head to your Arryved Portal and log in as a Super Admin.

  2. From the left side navigation, click Location Settings.

  3. Click Location Preferences

  4. Find the section titled Printing. Use this guide to learn about each Preference in that section.

Click on the Question Mark Icon next to any Preference to learn more about it.

Enabling the Print Zero Value Items Location Preference includes items that are $0.00 on guest-facing itemized receipts.

If this Preference is disabled, $0.00 items are not shown on itemized receipts.

Style For Bar And Kitchen Tickets

From the dropdown box under the Style for bar and kitchen tickets Location Preference, choose either Standard or Large for how you’d like the footer text to appear on printed tickets.

Selecting Large makes the check number, date, and time font larger that appears on the bottom of printed prep tickets.

*If you’re using Fresh KDS, you must select the Standard option.

The Print OpenTab orders when ‘ACK’ button is tapped on the Venue’s ORDER Screen Location Preference pertains to the ORDER screen in Arryved Service that can be enabled for any of your Venues.

Enabling this Preference adds a button labeled ‘ACK’ (for acknowledge) next to orders on the screen that came from OpenTab. You can tap the ACK button to print a prep ticket for the order.

  • Non-OpenTab orders will have the ‘Done’ button instead. Tapping Done simply removes the order from this screen without printing.

If this Preference is disabled, OpenTab orders will have the ‘Done’ button as all other orders do. Tapping ‘Done’ will not print a ticket.

Enabling the Remove all printer and receipt related buttons from Arryved Service Location Preference disables printing from Arryved Service by hiding all related buttons:

Enabling the Print failure makes order held Location Preference will place orders on hold when they fail to print.

The tab on hold appears at the top of the TAB screen in Arryved Service and is highlighted in red. This is helpful for staff members to easily identify when there’s a failed print.

If this Preference is disabled, then the only indicator that there’s a failed print is the X that appears over the printer icon at the top of the screen (next to the cloud icon).

Combine Items On Bar Tickets

Enabling the Combine Item On Bar Tickets Location Preference combines multiples of the same item onto one line on printed bar tickets, showing the quantity. Please beware that Seat Numbers are ignored when multiples are combined, in this scenario.

If this Preference is disabled, all items ordered are listed on their own line. Multiples are listed separately except for items that had an increased quantity using the quantity increase buttons on the order screen in Arryved Service.

Combine Items On Kitchen Tickets

Enabling the Combine Item On Kitchen Tickets Location Preference combines multiples of the same item onto one line on printed kitchen tickets, showing the quantity. Please beware that Seat Numbers are ignored when multiples are combined, in this scenario.

If this Preference is disabled, all items ordered are listed on their own line. Multiples are listed separately except for items that had an increased quantity using the quantity increase buttons on the order screen in Arryved Service.

Explicitly Put ‘ADD’ On Add Modifiers On Tickets

Enabling the Explicitly put ‘ADD’ on add modifiers on tickets Location Preference will print the word ‘ADD’ next to modifiers that are added to an item. The words ‘SUB’ and ‘NO’ print for those modifiers as well.

If this Preference is disabled, added modifiers only display the name of the modifier on printed tickets (sans the word ‘ADD’), but ‘SUB’ and ‘NO’ will always print on tickets to make the distinction.

When Available Put Unit Sizes On Consumer Receipts

Enabling the When available put unit sizes on consumer receipts Location Preference includes items’ Unit Sizes on your guests’ itemized receipts. This uses the Unit Sizes’ Record Display. Your Unit Sizes that don’t have a Record Display won’t be included on the guest receipt.

  • To add a Record Display, go to your Arryved Portal → Inventory → Inventory Settings → Unit Sizes

  • Record Display is a max of 3 characters.

Enabling the Print consumer copy of a receipt Location Preference automatically prints the guest receipt anytime a tab is closed out or a Quick Close transaction is completed.

Use Just A Summary Line For All Use Tax / Deposit Values On A Consumer Receipt

If the Use just a summary line for all use tax / deposit values on a consumer receipt Location Preference is enabled, then Use Tax (for deposits) and RSF (Retail Service Fee) are combined on guest-facing receipts with the label ‘Deposits & Fees. You can override that label with a custom one using the next Location Preference below it.

If this Preference is disabled, ‘Use Tax’ and ‘RSF’ are separated out on guest-facing receipts. The ‘RSF’ label can be overridden using the next Preference below, but ‘Use Tax’ always stays the same.

Label To Use For Tax / Deposit Values On A Consumer Receipt

Use the box under the Label to use for tax / deposit values on a consumer receipt Location Preference to create a custom label that overrides your ‘RSF’ or ‘Deposits & Fees’ label on guest-facing receipts.

  • If the previous Preference is enabled, this custom label overrides the default ‘Deposits & Fees’ label that combines Use Tax and RSF.

  • If the previous Preference is disabled, this custom label overrides the default ‘RSF’ label. ‘Use Tax’ is separated out and its label can’t be customized.

  • This label override is only present on printed receipts. The digital version of the receipt and the Digital Signature screen in Arryved Service will only always display the default labels (not the override).
