With Arryved’s cutting-edge POS, there are many tab functions available for just about any service scenario to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for your guests. From a tab’s Running Tab Window in Arryved Service, you can split, merge, comp, change an order, and much more! This article outlines all the options available from the Running Tab WIndow. Each functionality will have its own article linked for further detail.
Many functionalities of Arryved Service mentioned in this article may require certain Labor Role Permissions.
The Running Tab Window shows fewer options for closed tabs.
Open Arryved Service and log in.
From the TAB screen, tap on any tab.
The Running Tab Window will display the following information and options. Click on any of the orange links for more information on each function.
The top middle section of the Running Tab Window displays the tab name. If there is a card on file, you’ll see the card icon present, and typically the name is shown LAST NAME / FIRST NAME unless entered otherwise. If you tap on the tab name, you can change the name, swipe a new card, or manually enter a new card.

The tab’s total is displayed in the box in the upper left corner. Tap on the box to be taken to the Payment Options Screen to close the tab.

The box in the upper right corner has various tab information. The largest piece is the table number. You can tap on the box to select a different one. If there is no table number assigned, it’ll read “N/A.”
Below the table number is the following information,
Venue Name
The time the last order was placed
The check number
The employee who owns the tab

Tap the Order button to place another order on this tab. You’ll be taken to the order screen and the menu items available under that Venue will display.
Labor Role Permission
To place orders, the ORDER Permission is needed.

Tap the Comp button to apply Item or Tab Comps to this tab.
Labor Role Permission
If a Comp Type requires approval, the COMP Permission is needed to approve it.

Tap the Merge button to merge another tab into this one. Yes, the order matters! You’ll want to tap the Merge button from that tab you want to keep intact. Then, from the list of active tabs that appears, you’ll choose the tab(s) that you want to merge into that one.

Tap the Split button to split this tab. In Arryved Service, you can spit a tab in just about any way your guests may need so they don’t have to worry about settling up among each other later.

Tap the Details button to be taken to the Running Tab Screen. Here you’ll see each order placed on this tab separated by a timestamp. For each order, you have the option to,
Order the same items again.
Make changes to the order.
Re-print the order tickets.
Quick Send items that are on hold.
Void (delete) individual Items.
Void (delete) entire orders with the Trashcan.
Labor Role Permission
Voiding items through the Change button or trashing an order with Trashcan requires the ORDER ITEM VOID Permission.

Tap the Receipt button to print the guest receipt.
If you do not see this button, you may have a Location Preference in your Arryved Portal set to hide it. Contact the friendly voices at Arryved Support if you need more information.
Guests
Tap the Guests button to add a guest count to this tab. This is helpful for accurate reporting of the number of guests that visit your establishment.
A Guest Count is an alternative to using Seat Numbers. Both tools will count guests in the same Arryved Reports. If both Seat Numbers and a Guest Count were used on the same tab, reports will take the higher number into account.

Tags
The Tags button allows you to apply or remove a Tab Tag. Tags are used as indicators for internal communication among your staff or to isolate tabs in your Arryved reporting.

Tip Line
Tap the Tip Line button and it’ll change to a green Auto-grat button meaning a certain percentage of gratuity will be added automatically to a tab The amount of gratuity added is set in your Location Preferences in your Arryved Portal. When the button is set to Tip Line, gratuity is selected by the guest and not added automatically.
