Menus are curated in your Arryved Portal with the Inventory Items you want to offer your guests. You can create unique menus to offer in your different Venues or duplicate a master menu or two across your other Venues. The menus you create appear in Arryved Service for staff to order from. This article shows you how to create menus in your Arryved Portal.

Menus in your Arryved Portal are created in your Venues. Please create your Venues ahead of time.
This article shows you how to create menus for Arryved Service. Menus for your Arryved Online Store or OpenTab are slightly different.
Menus created for Arryved Service are simply for staff to place orders from. Menus for guests to read need to be printed or displayed on your own. If you’re interested in digital menus, consider using OpenTab’s QR Codes.
If you’d like to setup up menus to be active at certain times such as happy hour or lunch & dinner menus, learn How To Create Timed Menus.
You can duplicate a menu to your other Venues, however, if you make changes to one duplicate, it won’t auto-update the other duplicates.
How It Works
You’ll create menus under each of your Venues in your Arryved Portal. You can create unique menus for each Venue or duplicate your menu(s) across some or all Venues.
The Inventory Items within the menus are available for staff to order in Arryved Service. Depending on which Venue the staff member is working under, they may see different menu items available. Entire menus or individual Inventory Items can be made Active or Inactive so you can control what’s available in Arryved Service at any time.
You’re free to organize menus however you’d like. Here are some examples to get your creative juices flowing!

The menus you create in your Arryved Portal aren’t exactly visible the same way in Arryved Service. Instead, the items within those menus are visible but grouped under their Item Type buttons.
When Item Types are created in your Arryved Portal, their Button Priority determines the order in which the Item Type buttons are arranged in Arryved Service.
Only Inventory Items that are Active and on a menu that’s also Active are available in Arryved Service to order.
Menu items are only available in Arryved Service under the Venue that their menu lives in.
Learn More
Head to your Arryved Portal.
From the left side navigation, click Venues.
Click on a Venue of your choice. You’ll be creating a menu for this Venue.
Under the Menus section of the Venue’s page, click the Plus Sign (+) to create a new menu.
Give the menu a name in the description field and click Create.
You’re now on the menu editing page. At the top are the menu’s tools. Any changes made here will auto-save.
When this box is checked, the menu is active and available to order in Arryved Service under this Venue. The box is left checked by default. Uncheck it at any time to make the menu Inactive and the items won’t be available in Arryved Service. The Inventory Items on the menu can also be active or inactive.
This field displays the name of the menu that was entered when created. You can change the name here.
For your always-available menus, leave the Pricing Type at NORMAL. If you’re creating Timed Menus, you’ll use the other options. The Pricing Type of the menu must always match the Pricing Type of the Inventory Items’ Unit Sizes that are to live on this menu. This is how you can have a single item live on different menu types.
To delete this menu permanently, use the Retire Menu option.
When you’re finished curating this menu, you can use the Duplicate Menu option to clone this menu to any of your other Venues.
You’ll use the Menu Schedule if you’re creating Timed Menus.
You’re now ready to add the desired Inventory Items to this menu. All of your Inventory Items are listed in green boxes grouped by their Item Types. Click on a single Inventory Item name to add it to the menu. Click Add All to add all the items under that Item Type. Items added will auto-save to this menu and form a list at the top of the page.
As you add items to the menu, the list forms at the top of the page. Click on an Inventory Item from that list to edit it.
Click Go To Inventory to head to that Inventory Item’s editing page. If you make a change there, it affects the Inventory Item as a whole on all menus, not just on this particular menu.
For your Arryved Online Store only, you can uncheck one of the Unit Sizes of this Inventory Item if you don’t want to offer that size on this online menu.
To delete an item from this menu, use the Retire option.
If you’ve made any changes, you can either Save or Cancel.
The Menus section of each Inventory Item's page has a matrix of all your menus in each Venue. Checked boxes signify which menu(s) the item lives on. When creating a new Inventory Item, this is the quickest way to add it to your menus. You can uncheck a box to remove an item from a menu.
You’re all set! Don’t forget to duplicate your menu or create different ones in your other Venues.
