Arryved Portal Permissions Overview

What Are Portal Permissions?

There are 29 different Portal Permissions that provide Employees access to certain functionalities in Arryved Portal. Portal Permissions can be added to Employees individually from their Portal profiles. This article will explain the functionality of each Portal Permission. 

Note: Labor Role Permissions are assigned to Labor Roles in Arryved Portal and provide Arryved Service functionality to Employees that are assigned Labor Roles. Those Permissions are different from the Portal Permissions in this article. 

Prerequisites

  • To give an Employee Portal Permissions, they must be added into Arryved Portal as a Portal Admin.

  • Only a Portal Super Admin can add or change Portal Permissions on an Employee profile.

Limitations

  • All Portal Permissions are related to functionality in Arryved Portal, not other Arryved Products. 

How It Works

Portal Roles 

Before we dive into Permissions, It is important to understand how Roles work in Arryved Portal. There are 3 Portal Role types:

Employee

Employees are entered into Arryved Portal, but are not given any Portal Permissions. They are assigned Labor Roles with Labor Role Permissions that grant access to functionality in Arryved Service only. Only a Portal Admin with the MANAGE EMPLOYEMENT Permission can create or edit an Employee Profile. 

Admin

Portal Admins are entered into Arryved Portal with their email address used for Portal access. Portal Admins will be assigned Portal Permissions. Omitting certain Permissions is how you can limit certain functions of Arryved Portal for the Admin. Only a Portal Super Admin can create an Employee as a Portal Admin and add/remove Permissions. Labor Roles can also be assigned to Admins. 

Super Admin

Portal Super Admins have full access to Arryved Portal. They have all the existing Portal Permissions plus even more functionality. Super Admins are created or removed by an Arryved specialist. Contact support@arryved.com to make a change. 

Apply Portal Permissions To Portal Admins

  1. Head to your Arryved Portal.

  2. From the left side navigation, click Employees.

  3. Click View Employees

  4. Click on an Employee's Name.

  5. Make sure the Employee has the Portal Admin box checked.

  6. Under Portal Permissions, click the Plus Sign to add a Permission. 

  7. Use the dropdown to pick a Permission from the list.

  8. Add as many Permissions as you’d like to this Portal Admin.

ALL ACCESS

This is a convenience Permission that includes many others listed below. ALL ACCESS has the most functionality for a Portal Admin.

COMPANY SETTINGS, DASHBOARD, EDIT KEG DEPOSITS, END OF DAY, END OF DAY RESET, INVENTORY, LOCATION SETTINGS, MANAGE EMPLOYMENT, MANAGE HARDWARE, MODIFY HOURS,  MODIFY LOYALTY, MODIFY SALES TAX, ONLINE ORDERING SETTINGS, REFUND, REPORTING, TAB MANAGEMENT TOOL, TAB SEARCH, TIMED MENU CONFIGURATION, VENDOR CONFIGURATION, VENUE CONFIGURATION, VIEW KEG DEPOSITS, VIEW HOURS, VIEW LOYALTY.

Not Included

ARRYVED VIEW, MANAGE FLOOR PLAN, MODIFY PAY, VIEW PAY.

INVENTORY, LOCATION SETTINGS, VENUE CONFIGURATION

COMPANY SETTINGS

Grants access to the Company Settings pages in Portal. The Configuration page in Portal is where basic company information is added and can be edited. The Third Party Support page is where any Third Party Integrations would be configured. This Permission only grants viewing access to the Third Party Support pages, but edit access to the Configuration page. 

DASHBOARD

Grants access to view the Portal Dashboard. The Dashboard is a visual summary of Sales and Tab data from a single business day.

EDIT KEG DEPOSITS

Grants access to the Keg Deposits page in the Operations section of your Arryved Portal. This Permission gives the user access to view and edit the list of deposits.

VIEW KEG DEPOSITS

END OF DAY

Grants access to the End Of Day Tool in the Operations Section of Portal. The tool is used for drawer and tip management. Please consult your Implementation Manager before using the End of Day Tool. 

END OF DAY RESET

Grants access to edit past actions performed in the End of Day Tool.

FULL ADMIN

This is a convenience Permission that includes many others listed below. FULL ADMIN has the second most functionality behind ALL ACCESS.

INVENTORY

Grants access to edit the Inventory and Menu pages in Portal including:


Creating/Editing Tax Types is not included in the INVENTORY Permission.

LOCATION SETTINGS

Grants access to the Location Settings pages in Portal including:

MANAGE EMPLOYMENT

Grants access to the View Employee and View Hours pages in Portal. 

  • From the View Employees page, users with this Permission can add Employees and assign Labor Roles, but cannot add Portal Admins or Super Admins, or create or edit Labor Roles. 

  • Users can add, remove, and adjust shifts from the View Hours page.

MODIFY HOURS

MANAGE FLOOR PLAN

Grants access to create or edit the Floor Plan on any Venue that has the Floor Plan enabled. Floor Plans can be enabled under Venue Configuration with the VENUE CONFIGURATION Permission. 

MANAGE HARDWARE

Grants access to the Devices pages in Portal, where you can add and edit Merchant Devices and Merchant Peripherals. Devices are the tablets, handhelds, and other hardware that run the Arryved Service POS or Print Controller. Peripherals are your printers or KDS devices. 

MODIFY HOURS

Grants access to the View Hours page from the Employees section of Portal where users can add, remove, and adjust shifts. This Permission also grants access to reports that show employee hours information as long as the REPORTING Permission is also applied.

MODIFY LOYALTY

Grants access to the Arryved Insider pages in Portal including:

  • Offers List

    • Create/edit/send Insider Offers to be emailed to Insider Members.

  • Insider Members

    • View a list of your Insider Members with their profile information. 

    • Adjust the Insider Member’s points.

  • Pending Signups

    • See a list of users who started but didn’t finish the signup process.

    • Add new members manually in the Portal here.

VIEW LOYALTY

MODIFY PAY

Grants access to creating/editing Labor Roles with Labor Role Permissions. The LOCATION SETTINGS and MANAGE EMPLOYMENT Permissions are also required for this Permission to work. 

MODIFY SALES TAX

Grants access to creating/editing Tax Types. The INVENTORY Permission is also required for this Permission to work.

ONLINE ORDERING SETTINGS

Grants access to Arryved Online Store settings under the Locations Settings section of Arryved Portal.

REFUNDS

Grants access to the Tab Search tool under the Operations section of Portal with the additional ability to process refunds through the tool. With Tab Search, you can view details on any closed tabs from a previous day, email a copy of the receipt, or refund a check if paid for by card.

TAB SEARCH

REPORTING

Grants access to most of the reports available in the Reporting section of Portal. Any reports that show employee hours worked or pay information will need the VIEW HOURS and/or VIEW PAY Permissions in addition to the REPORT Permission.

TAB MANAGEMENT TOOL

Grants access to the Tab Management Tool in the Operations section of Portal where you can manage tabs that are left open at the end of the day. With this tool you can Comp, Void, Keep Open, or Bulk Close the tabs. 

Grants access to the Tab Search tool in the Operation section of Portal. With this Permission, users can search for past tabs, view the tab details, and email a copy of the receipt. Refunds can be processed in the Tab Search tool, but require the REFUND Permission additionally. 

TIMED MENU CONFIGURATION

Grants the ability to create timed menus such as Happy Hour. This Permissions includes:

VENDOR CONFIGURATION 

Grants access to the Company Settings pages in Portal. The Configuration page in Portal is where basic company information is added and can be edited. The Third Party Support page is where any Third Party Integrations would be configured. This Permission grants edit access to both the Configuration page and the Third Party Support pages.

COMPANY SETTINGS

VENUE CONFIGURATION 

Grants access to create Venues and edit Venue Configuration. Menu creation and editing is not included in this Permission.

VIEW HOURS

Grants access to reports that include information on employee hours. Must also have the MANAGE EMPLOYEMENT Permission for this one to work. 

VIEW KEG DEPOSITS

Grants viewing only access to the Keg Deposits page in the Operations section of your Arryved Portal. 

VIEW LOYALTY

Grants viewing access, but not edit access, to the Arryved Insider sections of your Arryved Portal. 

VIEW PAY

Grants access to reports that include information on employee pay. Must also have the REPORTING Permission for this one to work.
